C and E trains are also skipping stops.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"7hlr\">The blue lines, which have been running with delays since Wednesday evening\u2019s commute, were slowed by signal malfunctions, according to the MTA.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"5sf70\">The 7 train was stopped due to smoke conditions, but the MTA said the FDNY has now cleared the area and by 10 a.m. normal service had resumed.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"5toeq\">A police investigation is slowing 2 and 3 trains according to transit officials. According to the NYPD, a dog fell onto the tracks on the northbound tracks at Chambers St. at 9 a.m. Responding officers helped MTA staff remove the dog, which did not sustain any injuries and was returned to its owner.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"c2cnl\">It&#8217;s unclear when regular service will resume on the other affected lines.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"7otnt\">This story has been updated to include additional information from the NYPD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MTA delays have snarled another morning commute with trains running late across the system Thursday morning.
