According to police scanner traffic, a call for a possible &#8220;suicidal subject with a knife&#8221; led officers to <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/hudsonvalley.news12.com\/memorial-grows-for-17-year-old-killed-in-police-involved-shooting-in-wappingers-falls\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wappingers Creek Bridge.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The bodycam video shows these officers attempting to talk to Granadoa-Colindres and deescalate the sitation for around 50 minutes, while the teen grasps a knife.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Granadoa-Colindres later stands up and moves toward the officers with the blade in hand. Moments later, multiple officers open fire, striking Granadoa-Colindre.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Paramedics rushed the teen to the hospital, where he died.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\"><a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/hudsonvalley.news12.com\/family-of-friends-of-wappingers-teen-shot-by-police-seek-body-camera-video-use-of-force-policies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Granadoa-Colindres&#8217; family and friends spoke out<\/a> just days after the tragedy, demanding answers about what happened and how the situation escalated to gunfire.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;Because people are saying all kinds of things,&#8221; said a family friend, Juana Rubio, in Spanish. &#8220;One story and then another.
