{"id":362840,"date":"2026-10-02T13:55:01","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T13:55:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/362840\/"},"modified":"2026-10-02T13:55:01","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T13:55:01","slug":"nypd-finds-burned-body-in-vacant-trash-filled-queens-lot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/362840\/","title":{"rendered":"NYPD finds burned body in vacant, trash-filled Queens lot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A badly burned corpse was discovered in a trash-filled vacant Queens lot, officials said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Police responding to a 911 call for an unconscious person near the corner of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/139th+St+%26+Hillside+Ave.,+Queens,+NY+11435\/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c260c6f1bf7d79:0x47305625a9efee45?sa=X&amp;ved=1t:242&amp;ictx=111\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">139th St. and Hillside Ave.<\/a> in Jamaica discovered the human remains at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The burned body was found inside an overgrown, trash-filled lot behind a graffitied wall, <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/post\/queens-burned-body-found-cluttered-lot-jamaica-sources-say\/19898901\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to Eyewitness News.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>People often dump trash in the lot, which has long been considered an eyesore by locals, the outlet reported. Occasionally, residents have seen people sleeping in the lot.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators were still working to identify the charred remains, cops said. It was not immediately clear if the victim was a man or a woman.<\/p>\n<p>Medics pronounced the person dead at the scene.
