The officer was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition, police said.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"5fod1\">Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch canceled a scheduled afternoon press conference on quarterly crime statistics to visit the officer at Jacobi Hospital, according to an update in the mayor\u2019s schedule.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"la6h\">No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"fkhd9\">Police did not say if the assailant knew the victim or identify a possible motive.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"8lvk6\">This is a developing story and may be updated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An off-duty NYPD officer was stabbed in the Bronx on Friday, police said.
