There were four crew members and two passengers on board, a spokesperson for L.F. Wade International Airport said in a statement.<\/p>\n
Four of the passengers are Canadian nationals and two are Bermudian natives, according to Toronto\u2019s City News<\/a>.<\/p>\n The flight plummeted from 23,500 feet to 11,000 feet in just three minutes starting at 1:04 a.m., according to<\/a> FlightAware data<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are praying for a safe outcome,\u201d a spokesperson for Latitude Air Ambulance, which owns the missing plane, told City News.<\/p>\n Federal authorities are currently scouring the seas for the plane or wreckage.<\/p>\n \u201cThe FAA issued a Search and Rescue Alert Notice for Gulfstream G-100 around 1:20 a.m. local time on Saturday, Oct. 3,\u201d an FAA spokesperson told The Post.<\/p>\n \u201cThe FAA is coordinating with the Rescue Coordination Center and the U.S. Coast Guard to locate the aircraft,\u201d the statement concluded.<\/p>\n The Coast Guard was alerted by the FAA at approximately 2 a.m., the military branch told The Post.<\/p>\n \u201cThe current search area is offshore of Nantucket.
