NORTH ANDOVER, MA\u00a0\u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers Women’s Soccer team (5-2-2, 2-1-2 Metro), sparked by a goal from Olivia McMaster<\/a> within the first three minutes, drew in its Metro contest against the Warriors of\u00a0Merrimack (2-7-3, 0-4-2\u00a0Metro) by a final score of 1-1 on Saturday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.\u00a0

\n\tBefore the crowd had even settled into their seats, McMaster fired a ball past the reach of Addison Israel at the 2:46 mark to put the Jaspers on top.\u00a0
\n\tLauren Ahearn<\/a> joined her fellow captain on a pair of shot opportunities, but Merrimack stayed firm through 20 minutes.\u00a0
\n\tJust after that marker, Isabella Keogh found a ball from her sister Sophia to knot the contest up at one.\u00a0
\n\tIn the subsequent five minutes, both McMaster and Mary Trudeau<\/a> clocked shots on target within 25 seconds of each other, both forcing saves from Israel.\u00a0
\n\tThe newcomer Logan Smith<\/a> collected her own shot on target 10 minutes before the break, but another save kept us at 1-1 through 45 minutes.\u00a0
\n\tManhattan wasted no time out of the locker room, as Smith, McMaster, and Ahearn all sent shots towards the Merrimack net, with Israel recording more saves from the latter two.\u00a0
\n\tMolly Brunk<\/a> tallied her first save of the afternoon at the 61st minute, stopping a shot from Kylie Fuller.\u00a0
\n\tMcMaster forced Israel to gather two more saves in the game’s home stretch, continuing to apply the pressure.\u00a0
\n\tI. Keogh tried to double up on her previous score, but Brunk’s stop in the 80th was the final defensive stand needed to secure the draw.\u00a0

\n\tSenior midfielder Olivia McMaster<\/a> scored her fourth goal of the season, now just one behind teammate Lauren Ahearn<\/a>. McMaster’s six shots on target led both teams, doubling Merrimack’s output.\u00a0
\n\tSeniors midfielder Mary Trudeau<\/a> and Lauren Ahearn<\/a>, along with Freshmen forward Katie Cragan<\/a> and midfielder Logan Smith<\/a> each recorded one shot on target.\u00a0
\n\tSenior goalkeeper Molly Brunk<\/a> recorded two\u00a0saves.
