(WFSB) &#8211; People who love to take in New York\u2019s fall foliage can simply hop on a train starting this weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced on Thursday that Metro-North\u2019s popular leaf peeper trains return Oct. 3 and run through Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The MTA said six additional weekend trains will serve the Hudson Valley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Three morning trains will travel north toward Beacon and Poughkeepsie. Three afternoon trains will return to Grand Central Terminal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The MTA said new Metro-North schedules take effect Sunday, Oct. 4, adding five regularly scheduled weekday trains across the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Adjustments to some existing departure times and stops will accommodate Metro-North\u2019s growing ridership more comfortably and effectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The MTA said customers should check their trips in the TrainTime app or at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mta.info\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mta.info\/\">mta.info<\/a> before traveling.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WFSB.
