<\/p>\nPolice in Queens searched for a stabbing suspect Saturday night after a man was killed outside a bar near Jamaica Ave. and 175th St. Investigators identified the victim as Sulimon Ferrier, 29.<\/p>\n
His father, Peter Ferrier, said he was with his son when the stabbing happened outside the bar, called \u201cSeduction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ferrier said he and his son were walking back home across the street from the bar.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we crossed the road, this guy comes and stabbed him and they fell on the ground,\u201d Ferrier said.<\/p>\n
He said the suspect had been arguing with another person outside the bar before turning violent.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe had already stabbed him, over here,” the father said, pointing his own chest, “but he was stabbed in his back. I think that is what killed him.”<\/p>\n

The confrontation happened just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
The younger Ferrier was remembered by family and friends as someone who was playful and close with his family.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a very jolly kid, he\u2019s 29, but he would come and joke around, he would come hug his mom,” Ferrier told NBC New York. “Oh, man I don\u2019t know how my wife will take this.\u201d<\/p>\n
NBC New York was told Ferrier ran into a restaurant after he was stabbed. His father said the victim collapsed “and he told his mom he can\u2019t breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n
A friend, Raymond Khan, described the moments after the stabbing. \u201cHe was screaming, he was screaming ‘I\u2019m hurt,’ he was grasping for breath.”<\/p>\n
Ferrier was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was a very good kid, he never got himself in no trouble,\u201d said Khan.<\/p>\n
Another friend, Leon Barker, said Ferrier left behind four children.<\/p>\n
“So nice,” is how Barker described him, as he struggled to comprehend the tragedy. “I don\u2019t know, man.”<\/p>\n
A neighbor, Mohamed Shafeer, called the killing a devastating loss. \u201cThis is a tragedy, to be honest, and hopefully it becomes (safer) to be around (the area),\u201d Shafeer said.<\/p>\n
