On Saturday, the New York Yankees<\/a> will play Game 1 of the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays<\/a> in Florida.<\/p>\n The Yankees swept the Boston Red Sox<\/a> (in the Bronx) earlier this week.<\/p>\n UPDATE: The Yankees lost 1-0.<\/p>\n Yankees Announce Caballero Decision<\/p>\n \n Ahead of their series with the Rays, the Yankees announced their starting lineup for Game 1.<\/p>\n Underdog MLB wrote:<\/a> \u201cYankees 10\/3 B. Cole SP<\/p>\n Jos\u00e9 Caballero<\/a> is not in the lineup, so he will start the series on the bench.<\/p>\n The 29-year-old is in the middle of his second year with the Yankees.<\/p>\n He finished the regular season batting .231 with 95 hits, 14 home runs, 51 RBIs, 50 runs and 34 stolen bases in 136 games.<\/p>\n \n Caballero is in the middle of his fourth season at the MLB<\/a> level.<\/p>\n Before New York, he had spent time with the Seattle Mariners<\/a> (and Rays).<\/p>\n MLB.com wrote<\/a> (on July 31, 2025): \u201cTampa Bay Rays traded SS Jos\u00e9 Caballero to New York Yankees for CF Everson Pereira<\/a> and Future Considerations.
