(WIBW) &#8211; A man was being held on a $100,000 bond in the Riley County Jail after he was arrested in connection with rape and other sex crimes late Friday in Manhattan, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The arrested man was identified as Giovani Gavaska Green, 26, of Jamaica, N.Y.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Authorities said Green was arrested at approximately 5:03 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Giovani Gavaska Green, 26, of Jamaica, N.Y., was arrested Friday in connection with rape and...\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/WQSNHSUYNBFUFEX3GOHQFJLEJU.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"745\" \/>Giovani Gavaska Green, 26, of Jamaica, N.Y., was arrested Friday in connection with rape and other sex crimes in Manhattan, officials said.(Submitted)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was then booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with rape; aggravated sexual battery; and three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Riley County Police officials said Green\u2019s arrest stems from a report originally filed in August 2025 by a 20-year-old female victim, who knows the suspect. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Green remained in the Riley County Jail on Monday morning, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Because of the nature of these crimes, additional information wasn\u2019t being released as of Monday, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
