A Good Samaritan who came to the aid of a Bronx<\/a> murder victim on Monday morning described the harrowing final moments of a young man\u2019s life after he was stabbed to death in broad daylight during an argument.<\/p>\n

According to police sources, the incident took place just before 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 5 near the corner of Walton Avenue and East Fordham Road in Fordham.\n<\/p>\n

Officers from the 46th Precinct<\/a> responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call reporting that a man had been stabbed. Upon arrival, cops discovered an unidentified man, believed to be in his 20s, with a stab wound in the back.<\/p>\n

Multiple eyewitnesses told first responders that they had seen two men arguing just before the attack.\n<\/p>\n

Michelle Dawkins, a worker at the nearby ABC Training Center, said she saw the victim come running down the block, where he collapsed outside the entranceway. She rushed to his side.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cHe pulled out his hand, and it was full of blood, and then as he went down and he lay on the ground, that\u2019s when I got to see his whole back was full of blood,\u201d Dawkins told amNewYork in an interview. \u201cHis clothes and his underwear were showing; they were full of blood. I thought he got stabbed in the butt, but no, it was the back.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the young, fearful man began losing consciousness, Dawkins begged him to try and hang on until paramedics arrived.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said: \u2018Mami, don\u2019t let me go.\u2019 I said, \u2018No, don\u2019t you go on me,’\u201d she said. \u201cSo, I kept taking his eyes and lifting them because he kept wanting to go down. I\u2019m like, \u2018No, no, don\u2019t go to sleep, don\u2019t go to sleep.\u2019 So, I was applying pressure on the back, and then the ambulance came.\u201d<\/p>\n

Video obtained by amNewYork shows the young man shirtless being placed into the back of an ambulance. Dawkins said that it appeared the victim knew his killer.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThey (EMS) started working on him and he was still speaking because they asked him: \u2018Do you know who stabbed you?\u2019 and he said, \u2018Yeah.\u2019 That\u2019s the last words I got,\u201d Dawkins said.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

EMS rushed him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released his identity, pending family notification.\u00a0

Meanwhile, cops are looking for the suspected killer, a man also believed to be in his 20s, who had been in an argument with the victim moments before the killing. The perpetrator was last seen wearing all black and fled the scene northbound on Morris Avenue on foot.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.\n<\/p>\n
