An athletic club is following a gravitational pull leading it to eastern Queens.<\/p>\n
Gravity Fitness<\/a> signed a long-term, 23,000-square-foot lease at Muss Development<\/a>\u2019s Flushing Plaza at 41-61 Kissena Boulevard, where it will occupy the ground floor of a two-story office and retail complex in Downtown Flushing, according to the landlord.<\/p>\n SEE ALSO: French Consulting Firm Wavestone Leases 10K SF at 511 Fifth Avenue<\/a><\/p>\n Muss Development did not disclose the length of the lease, but the asking rent for the building was $52 per square foot.<\/p>\n \u201cFlushing continues to be a thriving community with an eclectic mix of commercial and retail offerings,\u201d Muss Development President Jason Muss said in a statement. \u201cThe Gravity Fitness lease further signifies that residents are eager for healthy options that get them off their screens and into physical activity.\u201d<\/p>\n Ross Spitalnick negotiated on behalf of the landlord in-house, while Steve Zhu of Compass<\/a> Commercial represented Gravity Fitness. Zhu did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n The tenant plans to open the gym in mid-2027, according to Muss. It\u2019s unclear whether the deal represents Gravity Fitness\u2019 first location, as there is another company with the same name that sells gym equipment.<\/p>\n Other retail tenants in the Flushing Plaza development include Dunkin\u2019, Allstar Pharmacy, medical spa training organization M Star Institute, and a location for the Charles P. Wang Health and Wellness Center.<\/p>\n
