Prolific soap opera actor Robert Kelker-Kelly is dead<\/a> at 62.<\/p>\n

Police in Missouri said in their report that the daytime star died Saturday in his St. Peters home<\/a> around 8:16 p.m. First responders were told that Kelker-Kelly was unconscious and not breathing as they rushed to the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Kelly had reportedly complained of chest pain shortly before becoming unresponsive, and the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

His body was released by the Medical Examiner to a local funeral home.<\/p>\n

The Wichita native played Bo Brady on nearly 600 episodes<\/a> of \u201cDays of Our Lives\u201d between 1992 and 1996, according to IMDb. He also appeared on NBC\u2019s \u201cAnother World\u201d more than 430 times as characters Sam Fowler, Bobby Reno and Shane Roberts from 1987 to 1998.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d viewers knew Kelker-Kelly as the villainous Stavros Cassadine<\/a>. He played that role from 2001 to 2014 .<\/p>\n

IMDb said he was employed as a flight instructor before his death.<\/p>\n

Kelker-Kelly\u2019s personal life also played out like a soap opera after his former \u201cDays of Our Lives\u201d costar Lisa Rinna accused him<\/a> of being a manipulative colleague in her \u201cYou Better Believe I\u2019m Gonna Talk About It<\/a>\u201d memoir released in February.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe made my life a living hell on the set of \u2018Days.\u2019 He was horrible to me,\u201d she alleged in an excerpt reported on by People. \u201cI\u2019d go so far as to say verbally abusive. He was passive-aggressive, manipulative and played weird mind games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelker-Kelly didn\u2019t address that report. The pair were Soap Opera Digest\u2019s 1995 award for Hottest Soap Couple. Kelker-Kelly was named that publication\u2019s Outstanding Lead Actor award in 1994.<\/p>\n

He confessed in a 1996 interview<\/a> NBC interview that he could see working outside of show business someday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d love to teach acting, teach English or be independently wealthy,\u201d Kelker-Kelly said.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s also where he admitted to getting kicked out of high school\u00a0and failing most of his classes at Wichita State University before stepping away from academia.<\/p>\n

Kelker-Kelly married his \u201cDays of Our Lives\u201d costar Miriam Parrish in 1997. They divorced in 2013. He was married to producer Linda Rattner<\/a> from 1988 to 1992, according to People.
