Mike Collins, son-in-law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BUTTS COUNTY, Ga (WGXA) \u2014 The Butts County Sheriff\u2019s Office, in coordination with the GBI and FBI, has arrested a New York man for making online death threats against Congressman Mike Collins and his son-in-law.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Butts County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, last week, the sheriff&#8217;s office received information about a death threat made against Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Mike Collins and his son-in-law. <\/p>\n<p>DID YOU HEAR | <a href=\"https:\/\/wgxa.tv\/news\/local\/bottoms-hears-uga-students-worries-on-ai-jobs-mental-health-and-living-costs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bottoms hears UGA students\u2019 worries on AI jobs, mental health and living costs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After an investigation, investigators identified a Buffalo, New York, man as responsible for the threats. <\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Anthony Lantrell Bennett of Buffalo, New York, was charged with two counts of terroristic threats in Butts County. <\/p>\n<p>The Butts County Sheriff&#8217;s Office said Bennett confessed to sending a message threatening to kill Congressman Collins and his son and law. Investigators also linked Bennett to information in an online story that was not accurate. <\/p>\n<p>I understand politics. I understand disagreements. But there is a line that cannot be crossed.
