{"id":365758,"date":"2026-10-06T11:50:15","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T11:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/365758\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T11:50:15","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T11:50:15","slug":"woman-dead-baby-girl-critical-after-plunge-from-bronx-building-balcony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/365758\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman dead, baby girl critical after plunge from Bronx building balcony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 23-year-old woman was killed and a baby girl was critically hurt in a plunge from a Bronx apartment building early Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/compstat.nypdonline.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>One witness told police the victims were thrown from a balcony, <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/post\/police-investigate-reports-woman-infant-were-thrown-balcony-critically-injured-bronx\/19912723\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ABC 7 New York<\/a> reported, but NYPD officials said it is not yet clear if a crime was committed.<\/p>\n<p>The shocking incident happened at 3:38 a.m. at an 18-story apartment building on Olinville Ave. near Allerton Ave.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the woman and child, believed to be about a year old, were found on the ground with severe injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Officers rushed the baby to Jacobi Medical Center, where she is in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Medics rushed the woman to the same hospital but she could not be saved.
