A new crop of prospects and veterans will make that walk down the aisle, eager to prove they belong in the Long Island spotlight. While RF54 brought back familiar faces, the tide is beginning to swing toward a fresh crop of prospects and club fighters looking to become the new face of the brand.

The feel for RF55 is different, but there are many faces returning to the Paramount. Every bout has someone who has fought in the series before.

While the names are not new, they are building their Rockin’ Fights resume and following a formula that is still tried and true. It is the local fighters getting an opportunity to showcase their skills and climb the boxing mountaintop, in the forge of champions.

There is no designated Main Event, something Joe DeGuardia, CEO of Star Boxing, was quick to point out.

“Every guy on the card is fighting their own Main Event. That is what we do here, we develop fighters and we bring them along, the guys that are opening the show are just as invested as the guys who are closing it.”

Rockin’ Fights 55 Card Preview
Ralph Clemente, Ronkonkoma, NY (5-0, 5 KOs) vs. Kamron Humphrey, Brooklyn, NY (5-3, 3 KOs)

Six Rounds in the Super Middleweight Division

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-91482 lazyload" src="https://www.newsbeep.com/us-ny/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Clemente-RF55.jpg" alt="Ralph Clemente will defend his unbeaten record at Rockin' Fights 55. Photo: Star Boxing

The unbeaten local standout Ralph Clemente returns to the Paramount, looking to keep his unblemished record intact and prove he belongs in the conversation for bigger things as 2026 winds down. This will be his third appearance in the series. He won his first two in quick fashion, wrecking Thomas Turner in one round and blasting out Kasimu Yakubu in four.

“Excited to be back in front of my hometown crowd, we are getting better every time out,” said Ralph Clemente.

His Apollo Creed/James Brown routine ring walk is a highlight of his appearance. DeGuardia jokingly admitted, “I am interested in seeing that dance routine, I want to see what that walkout music is. It’s entertaining for the fans. I like it.”

Clemente is taking a real step up against Brooklyn’s Kamron Humphrey. Humphrey is no stranger to Rockin’ Fights. He shocked the crowd by knocking out favorite Louis Maietta in his Paramount debut. He brings grit and heavy hands to Huntington, explicitly looking to derail the hype train and hand the hometown favorite his first professional defeat.

“Both of them have a lot at stake in this fight,” said DeGuardia.

Clemente offered advice for those coming to the fight: “Bring clothespins for your eyelids, because if you blink you are going to miss the fight.”

Clemente has to be on Star Boxing’s radar. He has the potential to anchor the show for the next few years, and he’s certainly making his case as the heir apparent.

“He is someone we would certainly be interested in developing,” said DeGuardia.

Raymond “The Scientist” Cuadrado, Ridgewood, New York (8-0, 3 KOs) vs. Efstathios “The Greek God” Antonas, Astoria, New York by way of Rhodes, Greece (13-3-2, 4 KOs)

Six Rounds in the Super Lightweight Division

👀 Rockin’ Fights 55! Under the guidance of Moises Roman, who has been in the Paramount red corner several times in his career, “The Scientist” has leaned into a technical, old-school style, systematically dismantling his early opposition.

“Fighting at The Paramount means a lot to me. I have fought there before, and there’ll be a bunch of guys from my firehouse there as well, so I’ll be feeling right at home,” said Cuadrado.

Antonas brings the famously passionate Astoria Greek community with him to Long Island, and he is not stepping through the ropes to lay down. “The Greek God” has the durability and veteran edge required to pressure-test the firefighter and definitively answer whether Cuadrado is ready for the next tier of the sport.

“This is a great challenge and step-up fight in front of me. I’ve stayed in the gym this entire time, constantly involved with FDNY’s boxing pros and amateurs,” said Cuadrado.

The game plan for Cuadrado, according to Moises Roman: “…outclass him by putting hands on him and show him why they call Ray the Scientist.”

Expect an electric atmosphere that perfectly mirrors the intense intimacy the venue was built for. Cuadrado is coming off a long layoff and looks to get back in against a very tough competitor. Antonas is on a six-fight win streak as he makes his United States debut.

This isn’t just a boxing match; it is a Queens turf war pitting Astoria v. Ridgewood, transplanted to Huntington.

“Cuadrado would be someone we would be looking at, another fireman, good pedigree with a strong amateur background, undefeated, and the kind of characteristics you look for in a fighter. Yeah, he is someone I would look at,” said DeGuardia. “We are glad to put him on, he has had some rough spells with other fight cards he was on, where fights fell through. I am proud Star Boxing can give him the chance.”

Louis Maietta, Bronx, NY (6-6-2, 2 KOs) vs. Eduardo Monrreal, El Paso, TX (3-6, 3 KOs)

Six Rounds in the Super Middleweight Division

Louis Maietta is the most familiar fighter in the Rockin’ Fights Series. He is a crowd favorite who takes on all comers. The FDNY veteran is 3-5 with two draws but brings a huge crowd and is never in a dull fight.

Maietta is looking to get back over .500. Training out of the legendary Morris Park Boxing Club, he will be cornered by former world champion Aaron “Superman” Davis. Both Davis and DeGuardia were Golden Gloves 147 Open class champions two years apart, in 1986 (Davis) and 1988 (DeGuardia).

Maietta will fight Eduardo “The Demolisher” Monrreal. In his last outing for Star Boxing, Monrreal pulled a massive upset over prospect Austin Cassese in the young fighter’s own backyard in Westchester.

There is no secret to Monrreal’s game plan. It is kill or be killed; it is that simple. He has been to the judge’s scorecard only once in his nine fights. Every other fight has ended within the limit, sometimes in spectacular fashion.

“I tip my cap to Eduardo. He’s a tough fighter who, like me, has fought everyone and anyone they put in his path; however, he’s never fought anyone like me. Saturday, the demolisher gets demolished,” said Maietta.

This fight can steal the show. Neither man will back up, and we will see who can impose their will. “It will be a war for sure,” said Maietta.

“That’s a tough and interesting fight,” said DeGuardia.

Ra-Leek Born, Brooklyn, NY (4-0, 4 KOs) vs. Marcus Bowes, Roxboro, NC (6-12, 3 KOs)

Four Rounds in the Super Lightweight Division

Ra-Leek Born is one of the most unique prospects on the card. He is a towering 6 feet 1 inch but fights between Lightweight and Welterweight. He has knocked out all his opponents inside the distance.

“It’s a good opportunity for him … He’s a good prospect. Where do you see a 140-pounder that’s six-foot-something?” shared DeGuardia.”Who knows if we’ve got the next (Sebastian) Fundora?”

Bowes is no stranger to The Paramount. He battled Ronny Reyes in his last outing at Rockin’ Fights, losing a unanimous decision. He is a veteran and will represent the most difficult test Born has taken.

Yousaf Zazai (1-0, 1 KO) of Kabul, Afghanistan vs. Robbie Cutler of Las Vegas (debut)
<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-91484 lazyload" src="https://www.newsbeep.com/us-ny/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Zazai-RF55.jpg" alt="Yousaf Zazai returns for his second pro fight at Rockin' Fights 55. Cutler took the fight on short notice after two other opponents fell out. The Star team worked diligently to get another opponent.

Zazai had a good outing in his Rockin’ Fights debut, beating a much bigger Elijah Grant by majority decision in a victory that caught Joe DeGuardia’s interest.

“I respect that, I mean he fought … I respect that they’re willing to fight anybody. I want to give him an opportunity,” said DeGuardia.

Zazai’s team recognizes the opportunity they have and they are excited to be back at Rockin’ Fights.

“When Yousaf arrived in the locker room, he was just full of confidence. I thought he was really present…he kind of soaked in the moment,” said Matthew Patren, Zazai’s coach.

“I’m feeling so excited, more than ready than I was last time, feeling strong mentally and physically, I’m ready to go,” said Zazai.

Rockin’ Fights Rocks On

It promises to be an interesting card from Ridgewood to Astoria, Bronx to Brooklyn, Ronkonkoma to Kabul. On Saturday night they all converge on Huntington.

Fifty-five editions in, the Rockin’ Fights formula has never changed: give hungry fighters a stage and let the best man shine. One of these fighters will walk out of The Paramount Saturday night a little brighter than when they walked in. The next Star is waiting to be born.

There are seats available for this weekend’s action.
