Manhattan K-Town\u2019s renowned Korean restaurant Antoya is getting a fresh new look and reopening under the name \u2018ANTO Korean Kitchen\u2019 on October 7.<\/p>\n
Previously recognized in the Michelin Guide \u2018Bib Gourmand,\u2019 Antoya\u2019s rebranding embodies values of honest ingredients, kitchen dedication, and a welcoming table for everyone.<\/p>\n
The name \u2018Anto\u2019 stems from \u2018An\u2019 (\u5b89), meaning comfort and peace, and \u2018To\u2019 (\u571f), representing soil and earth.<\/p>\n
\u2018An\u2019 signifies a space where people comfortably gather, while \u2018To\u2019 represents the foundation where fresh ingredients and dedication begin.<\/p>\n
This philosophy is captured in the phrase \u2018Soil to Table.\u2019<\/p>\n
Inscribed on the restaurant\u2019s windows, this phrase reflects a commitment to putting care into every step, from selecting ingredients at their source to preparing meals for guests.<\/p>\n
Anto uses carefully selected ingredients alongside core components directly imported from Korea, making its kimchi entirely in-house.<\/p>\n
Broths are also simmered for long hours with dedication instead of using commercial alternatives.<\/p>\n
Korean barbecue is not fast food, and Anto intends to treat it with the respect it deserves.<\/p>\n
The redesigned space offers a sophisticated yet unpretentious atmosphere focused on comfort.<\/p>\n
