{"id":366786,"date":"2026-10-07T12:40:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T12:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/366786\/"},"modified":"2026-10-07T12:40:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T12:40:09","slug":"police-id-charge-man-shot-by-homeowner-after-entering-south-glens-falls-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/366786\/","title":{"rendered":"Police ID, charge man shot by homeowner after entering South Glens Falls home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Glens Falls, NY (WRGB) \u2014 A 20-year-old from Hudson Falls has been charged after New York State Police say he entered a South Glens Falls home and was shot by the homeowner.<\/p>\n<p>New York State Police and the South Glens Falls Police Department responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs6albany.com\/news\/local\/homeowner-shoots-intruder-during-home-invasion-in-south-glens-falls-new-york-state-police-albany-medical-center-med-main-street-house-threat-gunshot-wound-gun-firearm-shooting-investigation-information-department-cbs6-wrgb?teaserSource=trending\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a home on Main Street around 4:39 a.m.<\/a> Oct. 6 for a reported home invasion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs6albany.com\/news\/local\/state-police-investigate-south-glens-falls-home-invasion-where-intruder-was-shot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Investigators determined that a person unknown to the homeowner<\/a> entered the home and was shot by the homeowner, according to State Police.<\/p>\n<p>The person who entered the home has since been identified as 20-year-old Hunter Jarvis of Hudson Falls.<\/p>\n<p>Jarvis was taken to Albany Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
