Musician and actor Steven Van Zandt is ready to part with his Greenwich Village<\/a> penthouse, hiking the price up to a cool $18,995,000 after initially listing it for $15 million in June of this year.<\/p>\n

A source close to the listing confirms to Realtor.com\u00ae<\/a> that the relisting price increase is “reflective of the current market.”<\/p>\n

The sprawling New York City<\/a> duplex is located in the Novare building\u2014formerly the Washington<\/a> Square Methodist Church built in 1860, which was converted into an eight-unit condominium building in 2006.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Sopranos\u201d star<\/a> and his wife, Maureen Van Zandt\u2014who also played his on-screen spouse in the iconic HBO show\u2014snapped up the home in 2008<\/a>, about a year after the finale of the critically acclaimed series. The couple shelled out $6 million for the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home.<\/p>\n

The 75-year-old E Street Band guitarist certainly made his mark on the property in his near two decades as owner. The splashy aesthetic is a perfect fit for the rocker, who goes by the name \u201cLittle Steven\u201d and has made his career performing alongside his close friend Bruce Springsteen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Friedman of Brown Harris Stevens.<\/p>\n

\u201cUpstairs, 20-foot wood-clad ceilings rise above expansive living and entertaining spaces, where history details meet an industrial edge of exposed ductwork, steel, and glass,\u201d the listing continues.<\/p>\n

A bold, open-concept great room is the heart of the 3,504-square-foot home, where an edgy chef\u2019s kitchen featuring a black-and-white, harlequin-tiled backsplash immediately catches the eye. Black cabinetry and a sizable island also define the space, which is well-suited for entertaining.<\/p>\n

Thanks to an accordion-style glass door, the seating area opens to a 500-square-foot private terrace, offering a private outdoor space that\u2019s difficult to come by in Manhattan<\/a>\u2014and it even includes an additional kitchen.<\/p>\n

During a screening of his 1985 documentary, \u201cThe Making of Sun City,\u201d at Springsteen\u2019s Center for American Music in Long Branch, NJ<\/a>, sources shared that the star was heard discussing his upcoming endeavors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were in the green room [chatting] about how the E Street Band member is now focusing more on writing TV scripts with New Jersey<\/a> as the potential location for production,\u201d the source shared.<\/p>\n
