{"id":367525,"date":"2026-10-08T03:42:32","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T03:42:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/367525\/"},"modified":"2026-10-08T03:42:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T03:42:32","slug":"men-arrested-in-off-duty-nypd-detective-stabbing-nbc-new-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/367525\/","title":{"rendered":"Men arrested in off-duty NYPD detective stabbing \u2013 NBC New York"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two men wanted in connection with the stabbing of an off-duty NYPD detective during an apparent robbery attempt in the Bronx last week have been arrested in Massachusetts, police said Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;Angelo Caraballo and Sneider Mejia were found hiding in a basement overnight in the city of Lynn, about 15 miles from Boston, by NYPD detectives assigned to the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. <\/p>\n<p>The Boston Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted in the investigation. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators say the off-duty police officer was stabbed seven times in the attack near the intersection of East 206th Street and Rochambeau Avenue in Norwood on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Police at the scene said he got those injuries defending himself from the two suspects. The officer was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators had said they were looking for two suspects seen riding away from the scene on an e-bike.
