The news comes during Shadowbox\u2019s first weeks of\u00a0operating\u00a0the studio and welcoming the on-site Kaufman team to the wider Shadowbox group.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0After 43 years with Kaufman Astoria Studios, most recently as Vice President of Operations, Pete Romano takes on the new role of Executive Vice President of Operations. With responsibility for overseeing the site, Romano now also\u00a0leads on\u00a0integrating the studio operations with the Shadowbox playbook. This ensures that productions receive the same market-leading standard of service at every Shadowbox site, wherever they are in the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Fay Samaras takes the new title of Studio Sales Manager. This follows a ten-year career at the Studios starting as an assistant, before progressing to Stage Manager. In her new role Samaras is the on-site client services lead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Together Romano and Samaras have more than five decades of operations and sales experience in one of North America\u2019s most historic studios, welcoming productions including The Devil Wears Prada 2, And Just Like That\u2026, Succession, Orange is the New Black, and Angels in America.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Sarah Tavolacci has been elevated from Office Manager to Chief of\u00a0Staff\u00a0and Christine McKenna becomes the new Senior Director of Accounting and Finance, having most recently served as Financial Controller.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Mike Mosallam, COO, Shadowbox Studios said: \u201cWe\u2019re\u00a0so happy to\u00a0recognize\u00a0the huge contribution Pete, Fay and the team have made to the longevity of Kaufman Astoria Studios. Their love and energy for the campus and the sheer number of production stories is something to behold.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0been a pleasure welcoming them to the wider Shadowbox group.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In August Shadowbox Studios announced that they had been appointed as the new manager and operator of Kaufman Astoria Studios.
