Normally, when we\u2019re talking about mock drafts for the New York Jets in October, it\u2019s for an obvious bad reason. However, today\u2019s discussion will destroy a stupid narrative that people have been peddling for months, if not years.<\/p>\n
Arch Manning is a talented quarterback prospect who could be available in the 2027 NFL Draft. With the Jets being recently terrible and having multiple first-round picks, there has been a chance for a while that these two could join forces.<\/p>\n
Whenever that conversation has been brought up, a swarm of people has been quick to say that would never happen because the Manning family wouldn\u2019t allow it. Interesting.<\/p>\n
Well, when Uncle Eli Manning was asked where he\u2019d prefer his nephew to play football at the NFL level, he brought up the green and white.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s two ways I look at this,\u201d Manning said via Grace McCarron of the New York Post. \u201cFor purely selfish reasons, I wouldn\u2019t mind if he went to the [New York] Jets, just because I live right there, I could go to games, I could have dinner with him during the week a little bit. I think it\u2019d be great for him to have some family nearby, so I wouldn\u2019t mind him going to the Jets, being up in New York\u2026that\u2019s just my selfish reasons, and I think he could help them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Well, well, well, isn\u2019t that a fun plot twist. So it sounds like if the Jets were in a position to select the young Manning, there wouldn\u2019t be any roadblocks to making that a reality.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not sure how the LOL Jets crowd is going to take this one, but\u2026<\/p>\n
Full stop. The New York Jets are one of, if not the best, landing spots for a young quarterback next year. Their roster is overflowing with offensive talent, talented pieces on the offensive line, pass catchers, running backs, and all the rest.<\/p>\n
If Manning or any other QB prospect lands with the green and white, they have a path to immediate success. We haven\u2019t been able to say that for a long time.<\/p>\n
