Additionally, day, night, and sunrise sessions will take over the main room and courtyard, creating an \u201cimmersive Halloween program built around Refuge\u2019s dancefloor-first ethos,\u201d as per an official press release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As with other Refuge DJ sets and parties, the 500-capacity venue will retain its approach throughout \u201cPURGATORY,\u201d with no VIP sections or bottle service and a focus on the music: long-form DJ sets and an undivided dancefloor. The marathon will be powered by Refuge\u2019s custom four-point REX analog sound system, co-engineered with Al Fierstein.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Refuge NYC was co-founded by promoter John DiMatteo and sound engineer Craig \u201cShorty\u201d Bernabeu, drawing inspiration from historical nightlife institutions like Paradise Garage and The Sound Factory.
