Anti-ICE protesters clashed with the NYPD Thursday night outside a Bronx hospital where a \u201ccriminal illegal\u201d migrant was being treated after he was shot in the neck<\/a> by a federal agent.<\/p>\n

About 300 demonstrators gathered outside NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, calling for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to get \u201coff our streets\u201d after the agent-involved shooting in the Marble Hill neighborhood earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Palestine to Mexico, all these walls have got to go,\u201d the group chanted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want ICE off our streets. No justice, no peace,\u201d they bellowed.<\/p>\n

Tensions were high and at one point the anti-ICE mob and police got into a shoving match of sorts, according to footage.<\/p>\n

Officers were trying to keep the protesters at bay with barricades when the agitators grabbed ahold of one of the barriers and pushed back.<\/p>\n

A brief struggle ensued and at least one protesters was arrested in the chaos.<\/p>\n

While things were heated outside the hospital, inside, the 28-year-old man from the Dominican Republic, with reported ties to the Trinitarios, was recovering after an ICE agent shot him during \u201ca targeted enforcement operation,\u201d the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Sources told The Post a 5-year-old boy was inside the same car as the man when he was shot.<\/p>\n

The migrant has \u201ca prior criminal conviction for grand larceny, and multiple prior arrests for assault, robbery, possession of drugs, and weapons possession,\u201d the DHS said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis criminal illegal alien was arrested by the NYPD on December 7, 2023, but was released into the community a few days later by reckless Democrat sanctuary policies that put American lives at risk,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n
