No arrests have been made<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police responded to the scene along with the city&#8217;s Department of Environmental Protection. They pulled out two shovels and two other tools.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Just last month, <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/post\/manhole-sewer-upper-east-side-nyc-arrest-nypd\/19867996\/\" target=\"_blank\" dir=\"ltr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">two people were arrested<\/a> in a similar incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The suspects were identified as Kevin Rodriguez, 25, and Samuel Reveron, 25, both of Queens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">They were charged with trespass and conspiracy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">They told detectives they entered the manhole together to look for valuables that get washed away in the storm drains and sewers.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WABC-TV.
