Kathy Hochul is asking President Donald Trump to suspend ICE operations in New York after an<a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/federal-agencies-to-investigate-ice-involved-shooting-in-the-bronx-protestors-demand-answers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> ICE-involved shooting<\/a> in the Bronx Thursday.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">She says things have gone &#8220;too far.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\"><a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/rotten-to-its-core-mayor-mamdani-slams-ice-after-shooting-in-the-bronx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ICE officers shot a man in Marble Hill <\/a>that left a 28-year-old man wounded and a 5-year-old boy <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/nypd-bodycam-video-shows-response-to-ice-shooting-in-the-bronx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">caught in the chaos.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Homeland Security Chief Markwayne Mullin says officers opened fire because the suspect&#8217;s car accelerated toward them, and they believed their lives were in danger.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Mullin says the officers did not know the man&#8217;s 5-year-old child was in the car with him.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The man was shot in the neck and child was unharmed.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">ICE says the man was in the country illegally and had a criminal record.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Gov.
