How many years have you lived in New York City? Thirteen. Four of those were at NYU, so that\u2019s like -1,000,000.<\/p>\n

How many times have you moved in NYC? Ten.<\/p>\n

What was the worst move? I had to be, like, out of the country very last minute, and I had to have my roommate move for me, and I don\u2019t think he ever forgave me.<\/p>\n

What neighborhoods in New York have you lived in? Oh my God. The Village, Gramercy, East Village, Clinton Hill, Bushwick, Upper-Upper West Side, Upper West Side.<\/p>\n

Have you ever had an altercation with a neighbor? Day one I moved into my last apartment, my neighbor wrote me, like, a three-page letter about how I was slamming the door.<\/p>\n

You could make one subway etiquette-rule law. Move out of the way of the door when you get to the station so people can get in and out.<\/p>\n

Someone bumps into you on the subway. \u201cExcuse me!\u201d No, I would definitely not say anything. You never know who\u2019s crazy.<\/p>\n

Your train line is down and you\u2019re running late. Probably get out and do that, like, half-walk, half-jog thing and then show up, like, really sweaty and miserable.<\/p>\n

Your cabdriver is taking a horrible route. Do you interrupt? Let him rock. He knows better than I do.<\/p>\n

Someone tries to hand you a flyer on the street. What do you do? Pretend like I see someone I know. \u201cHey!\u201d And then walk away.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a blinking red light and you\u2019re about to cross. Do you wait till it says \u201cWalk\u201d or do you cross? 100 percent walk. I actually thought that that meant \u201cwalk\u201d for many years, and then one time I was in Australia and that was happening, and I crossed and got stopped by the cops, and they were like, \u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d<\/p>\n

You have family coming to town. They only give you 24 hours\u2019 notice. What do you do with them? Get them SNL tickets, and then everyone\u2019s mad at me because I asked so late.<\/p>\n

Someone tells you that the rats are actually cute. What\u2019s your honest response? I think mice are cute. Rats are too strong and fast.<\/p>\n

Have you ever actually been to Staten Island? I don\u2019t think I have. I\u2019m so sorry, Colin Jost.<\/p>\n

Do you call Manhattan \u201cthe city\u201d or just \u201cManhattan\u201d? Manhattan.<\/p>\n

What is something a tourist does that you secretly still do? Look at my phone to know where I\u2019m going.<\/p>\n

Bedbugs or roaches? Absolutely roaches.<\/p>\n

Roaches or rats? Roaches.<\/p>\n

How would you do the New York City accent? Someone told me that the best way to get into it is with the word dental.<\/p>\n

Have you ever taken a piece of furniture off the street? Yeah, more than I\u2019d like to admit.<\/p>\n

Do you touch the subway poles? Yeah, \u2019cause I\u2019m not about to fall on my ass trying to look nonchalant.<\/p>\n

Where do you go to cry? The club, the subway, my office, out in public.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your best NYC celebrity sighting? First week I moved here, I met Michael Cera on the street. I stopped him for way too long. Talked his ear off. He was, like, with friends. It was absolutely wrong to do.<\/p>\n

What about New York still makes no sense to you? I guess, like, when a little kid rides his scooter directly into you.<\/p>\n

Name the fakest Realtor-invented neighborhood. I would say Manhattan Valley. The Upper-Upper West Side. I used to live there. And then if I would say Manhattan Valley, people would be like, \u201cWhat are you talking about?\u201d<\/p>\n

You\u2019re old enough to remember when \u2026 UCB was under Gristedes.<\/p>\n

Last time you ate a hot dog from a hot-dog stand? Years. I\u2019m a big dry-ass-pretzel guy.<\/p>\n
