SYRACUSE, N.Y. – President Trump ridiculed Albany Dems for passing legislation to remove “mother” and “father” from some state laws and replace with “gestating parent.”

Trump, while railing against Empire State Democrats at a rally in Syracuse Friday, blasted “radical left lunatic” Gov. Kathy Hochul and state legislators passing a bill to change laws around surrogacy to refer to a “gestating” or “non-gestating” parent, as well as calling them “parentage” hearings instead of “paternity.”

“Kathy Hochul supports transgender mutilation of your children. She supports men in women’s sports and a bill that would change the terms of mother and father to gestating and non-gestating parents.”

“You can no longer say ‘mother, hi mom!’ it’s ‘hi gestating,’” the president mocked.

“‘Hi gestating, I love you so much gestating,’” he continued to laughter from the several thousand supporters in attendance, before pleading with them to promote Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman to governor.

“New York needs to throw out this radical left lunatic and elect Bruce Blakeman,” Trump declared.

Blakeman, the Republican nominee, trails Hochul by 11 points in the most recent Marist poll released Wednesday, but a Siena University survey had him within single digits last month.

“This is insane,” Blakeman told the crowd earlier about the “parentage” bill.

“You see, they want to take control away from parents. They’re denigrating moms and dads. They’re letting Albany make the decisions that should be up to parents,” the Long Island pol railed.

Hochul “believes mothers are mothers and fathers are fathers, and no legislation changes that,” a spokesperson said.

“The legislation, which we will review, appears to address technical legal issues related to surrogacy and parentage. Anyone making bad-faith arguments is deliberately misleading New Yorkers for political gain,” the Hochul spokesperson continued.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – President Trump ridiculed Albany Dems for passing legislation to remove “mother” and “father” from some state…

[6
4241,1626,153,57,46937,9,11,10,49,51,50,13895,58
post-369582","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-new-york","tag-albany","tag-bruce-blakeman","tag-donald-trump","tag-metro","tag-midterm-elections-2026","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-headlines","tag-new-york-news","tag-new-york-state","tag-new-york-state-headlines","tag-new-york-state-news","tag-ny-governor-election-2026","tag-us-news
["GET
