Malik Nabers, Isaiah Likely and Cam Skattebo all are expected to play Sunday, but only one of the Giants\u2019 top offensive weapons is laughing at the idea that his status was ever in jeopardy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nabers (knee) missed practice Wednesday<\/a> because he was more sore than normal but \u201che\u2019ll be ready to play,\u201d head coach John Harbaugh declared after Friday\u2019s practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Skattebo (shoulder) said the red noncontact jersey that he wore Wednesday \u2014 an oxymoron given his lower-the-shoulder running style \u2014 was more \u201cfor safety\u201d and an example of \u201cdoing what I\u2019m told.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing to worry about,\u201d Skattebo said. \u201cMy shoulder\u2019s OK. I literally had a little bit of muscle tightness in my back, and over the last couple of days I\u2019ve worked it out and I feel great.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Friday\u2019s practice, Likely (knee\/groin), Nabers, Skattebo, left tackle Andrew Thomas (groin) and tight end Chris Manhertz (shoulder) were all full participants for the first time this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Safety Jason Pinnock (concussion) and DL Chauncey Golston (neck) were ruled out for Sunday\u2019s game. Pinnock and S Tyler Nubin have shared one position next to Jevon Holland in the last two games. If Nubin is pulled for any reason, Ar\u2019Darius Washington would be next up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harbaugh declined to reveal whether newly acquired J.J. McCarthy or Jake Haener<\/a> will be the No. 2 quarterback.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think [J.J.] has made tons of progress in the last two weeks,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cFrom last week to this week, he\u2019s made a lot of progress.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Commanders defensive coordinator Daronte Jones interviewed for the same position with the Giants before it went to Dennard Wilson.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harbaugh was cagey when asked for his impressions of Jones\u2019 unit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to say because it might give something away,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cWe watched a lot of film of their defense.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harbaugh opened his post-practice news conference by sharing his thoughts on Hall of Famer Mike Ditka<\/a>, who died early in the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cGot to know Coach Ditka a little bit because my brother [Jim] got drafted by him, played for him,\u201d Harbaugh. \u201cCoach was just a great guy. Met him a few times since in Chicago with Jim. He always knew what he stood for football-wise, right?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
