Kelly Clarkson described a negative experience while shopping at a Brooklyn-based home goods store, prompting the shop to clap back on Instagram with a positive review<\/p>\n

Singer Kelly Clarkson sparked controversy online after she took aim at a business in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

Clarkson<\/a>, 44, took to X to detail her experience at Art of Play, a home goods and bookstore selling unique trinkets and items. She revealed that she was \u201clooked at as if [she] couldn\u2019t afford\u2019 the items in the store and was \u201ctold [the employee] could find something comparable\u201d for her. She remarked that the employee was \u201can idiot\u201d who lost a \u201chuge sale.\u201d The New York<\/a>-based store clapped back at Clarkson on the shop\u2019s Instagram story, where they reposted a positive review that credited the story with being welcoming and treating customers with \u201csuch genuine kindness.\u201d <\/p>\n

They added that the store offers \u201cunique treasures\u201d and that they enjoy \u201cconnecting with the wonderful people there,\u201d with the store leaving the user \u201csmiling and wanting to come back.\u201d This comes after Clarkson compared herself to Taylor Swift at a Las Vegas show<\/a>. <\/p>\n
