Social media trolls spewed vile hate towards the Big Apple\u2019s police commissioner Jessica Tisch<\/a> \u2013- echoing calls from Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s<\/a> political allies demanding he axe the top cop from her post.<\/p>\n

Hate-filled messages mounted on X and other social media sites over the weekend \u2013 after federal agents shot and injured a suspected criminal migrant in The Bronx last week.<\/p>\n

The incident sparked outrage and speculation that the NYPD complied with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers \u2013 despite repeated reassurance from the organization that local officers were not involved.<\/p>\n

One disgruntled X user railed against Tisch as a \u201cfascist\u201d and called her a nepo baby in a foulmouthed tirade that hurled F-bombs at the NYPD, ICE and the commissioner. <\/p>\n

\u201cICE collaborator,\u00a0 a fascist collaborator and heir to a zionist billionaire,\u201d another user called Tisch.
Mamdani\u2019s political home \u2013 the Democratic Socialists of America<\/a> \u2014 joined that call to push out Tisch, who started the role in November 2024, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe demand that Mayor Zohran Mamdani fire NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch and use every power available to him to drive ICE out of New York City,\u201d the DSA said in a formal statement.<\/p>\n
