Hermann \/ MTA, with inset courtesy of NYPD<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The slasher who attacked a man at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amny.com\/?s=grand+central\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">42nd Street-Grand Central subway station<\/a> last week remains at large, police reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>Police released on Sunday night images of the assailant responsible for the slashing that occurred on board a downtown-bound 4 train as it approached the station at about 9:25 p.m. on Oct. 8.\n<\/p>\n<p>Based on a preliminary investigation, police determined that the victim, a 34-year-old man, became embroiled in a verbal dispute with the unidentified male suspect.\n<\/p>\n<p>The beef quickly devolved into a physical struggle, cops said. Things turned bloody when the perpetrator pulled out a sharp object and sliced the victim across the face with it.\n<\/p>\n<p>Following the assault, authorities said, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.\n<\/p>\n<p>The incident was reported to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypdmts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Midtown South Precinct<\/a> and NYPD Transit District 4 responded to the scene. EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>Police described the suspect as a man who was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and multicolored sneakers.\n<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding the slashing or the suspect\u2019s whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA).
