One of them, a specially prepared 2016 Bentley Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase, is now available at auction.

Queen Elizabeth’s Bentley Broad-Arrow

Its estimated selling price is €400,000 to €450,000, roughly $460,000 to $520,000.

Bidding is already underway through Broad Arrow Auctions in its Global Icons: Zoute Online sale. The auction opened October 5 and closes Wednesday, October 14. Anyone interested in acquiring a piece of royal motoring history can view the car, designated Lot 121, on Broad Arrow’s website.

It is one of just two Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase sedans built for the Queen. Bentley’s Press and Special Vehicles Department prepared the car for royal duty, tailoring its cabin to the preferences of a passenger who was accustomed to being driven but was also famously fond of automobiles.

Queen Elizabeth’s Bentley Broad Arrow

The Queen’s Handbag

Perhaps the most personal feature was a custom tray designed to accommodate her Launer London handbag. Bentley removed the front center armrests to install it. The cabin featured an inlaid Royal Coat of Arms on the walnut trim, privacy curtains in the rear, and a rich combination of Twine and Cumbrian Green leather, burr walnut veneer and deep lambswool carpeting.

It’s a Bentley lover’s Bentley.

Queen Elizabeth’s Bentley B.A.

There is a catch for buyers hoping to take home every royal detail, though. The handbag tray and Coat of Arms were removed at the request of the Royal Mews after the vehicle was retired from official service. The armrests were reinstalled. But much of the rest of the interior remains as it was during the Queen’s tenure.

Outside, the Bentley wears understated Barnato Green paint. Under its long hood is a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 producing approximately 530 horsepower, coupled to an automatic transmission. That’s Queen-sized power. The extended wheelbase provides the generous rear-seat space that made the Mulsanne well suited to carrying a monarch.

Where The Vehicle Was Driven

First registered in October 2016, with license plate DG66 OKM, the car served the royal household until 2019. It transported the Queen to occasions including British Champions Day, an event marking the centenary of Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters, and the funeral of Countess Mountbatten of Burma.

When a newer Mulsanne arrived, this example returned to Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England, where it remained until after the Queen’s death in 2022. The company kept its newer sister car for its heritage collection, leaving this example as the only one of the pair to pass into private hands.

A collector acquired the car in March 2024 through Bentley’s certified pre-owned program. It has since been maintained by London Bentley dealership Jack Barclay and won the Bentley Drivers Club Trophy at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace that year. The odometer shows approximately 6,000 miles.

A standard used Mulsanne can be bought for a fraction of the auction estimate. But for the winning bidder, the real gas won’t be horsepower, leather or legroom. It will be the chance to sit where royalty sat – with perhaps a bit of associated sparkle rubbing off.

Want to see more Forbes articles on your feed? Tap here to make Forbes Australia a preferred source on Google.

Look back on the week that was with hand-picked articles from Australia and around the world. Sign up to the Forbes Australia newsletter here or become a member here.

Published on October 13, 2026 The late Queen Elizabeth II was chauffeured to official engagements in some of…

[37
9,24,63,122,124,123
post-371556","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-queens","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc","tag-queens","tag-queens-headlines","tag-queens-news
["GET
