A young girl was shot multiple times after getting caught in the crossfire of a possible gang shootout in the Bronx on Monday night, according to authorities and sources.<\/p>\n
The 12-year-old girl was shot in the torso and the right foot in front of a building on Tratman Avenue between Rowland Street and St. Peters Avenue in Westchester Square around 8:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

The unidentified child is not believed to have been the intended target of the gunfire, and cops are probing whether she was caught in the crossfire of a gang-related shooting, sources said.<\/p>\n
She was taken by a private vehicle to Montefiore Hospital in serious but stable condition, police said. <\/p>\n
