(NJ Advance Media | Patti Sapone)<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5ZNVMU2JSNCGBB32MYMQ4H7V5Y\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Six months ago, an off-duty NYPD detective pleaded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.silive.com\/crime-safety\/2025\/05\/nypd-detective-charged-with-staten-island-dwi-allegedly-crashed-pickup-into-2-cars.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.silive.com\/crime-safety\/2025\/05\/nypd-detective-charged-with-staten-island-dwi-allegedly-crashed-pickup-into-2-cars.html\">not guilty to DWI charges stemming from a crash in the precinct where he served.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ODOWQKP4SVBEHF4BNUTOYVWX6A\">On Wednesday, officers who assisted in the case will testify against the defendant as part of a pre-trial evidentiary hearing.
