Jack Schlossberg <\/a>is channeling his tragic uncle John F. Kennedy Jr. in his new campaign for Congress.<\/p>\n

The official campaign<\/a> website for Schlossberg\u2019s run in the Democratic primary for New York City\u2019s 12th Congressional District features the Kennedy family scion, 32, riding a bike through the streets of Manhattan while wearing a dark suit and backwards cap with a backpack.<\/p>\n

The photo is incredibly similar to ones of his famous uncle, who died at 38 in the crash of a plane he was piloting in 1999.<\/p>\n

Schlossberg even pushes up his right pants leg like Kennedy often did while riding his bike through the city.<\/p>\n

The son of Caroline Kennedy on Tuesday\u00a0announced a run<\/a>\u00a0for the Manhattan congressional seat held for more than three decades by\u00a0retiring \u201cliberal lion\u201d Jerrold Nadler<\/a>, 78.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach generation of Americans is tested. The 2026 midterms is our moment,\u201d Schlossberg\u2019s\u00a0website for his 12th District run reads<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m running for Congress because the best part of the greatest city on earth needs to be heard loud and clear in Washington and deserves a representative who won\u2019t back down.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kennedy was known for pushing up his pants leg to better ride his bike \u2014\u00a0which Schlossberg also does in his photo. Lawrence Schwartzwald<\/p>\n

The bike photo is just the latest that Schlossberg has posted over the last year to his 751,000 Instagram followers \u2014\u00a0including often unhinged posts that ripped <\/a>his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the secretary of Health and Human Services.<\/p>\n

Many are reminiscent of iconic images of JFK Jr., including one of him riding a kayak shirtless.<\/p>\n

For at least one political analyst in New York City, the effort to remind voters that he is part of the Kennedy dynasty is \u201ccompletely idiotic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHis whole campaign is ridiculous. Here\u2019s a guy with no record, no accomplishments trying to make himself into something he\u2019s not. It\u2019s patently ridiculous,\u201d political strategist Hank Sheinkopf said. \u201cThis whole family still thinks they are all entitled to something.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schlossberg, whose full name is John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, graduated from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School in 2022.<\/p>\n

He is running for Nadler\u2019s seat after the longtime lawmaker announced his retirement in September.<\/p>\n

So far, three other candidates have\u00a0officially joined the Democratic primary race<\/a>: Alex Bores, a former software engineer who has represented Manhattan\u2019s 73rd District in the state Assembly since 2023; state lawmaker Micah Lasher, a Nadler protege; and Liam Elkind, founder of the nonprofit group Invisible Hands.<\/p>\n

The \u201cJack for New York\u201d website features the tagline \u201cA New Generation of Leadership for New York\u201d \u2014 seemingly both channeling his famous family and trying to capitalize on Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani\u2019s win in the mayoral race earlier this month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jack Schlossberg is channeling his tragic uncle John F.
