Previs studio Proof Inc. has opened a new permanent office in New York City, with Ari Aster\u2019s next feature serving as the location\u2019s first project.<\/p>\n
The announcement came Wednesday at View Conference in Turin, Italy, where founder Ron Frankel will join a panel on the future of filmmaking later this afternoon. Proof\u2019s global head of business development, Benjamin Riehl, also presented on the company\u2019s work on Masters of the Universe.<\/p>\n
Proof provides previsualization, postvisualization, technical visualization, and other production planning services for film and television. Its credits include Avatar: Fire and Ash, Stranger Things, the Jurassic World franchise, and the upcoming Harry Potter television series.<\/p>\n
Frankel will oversee the New York operation while continuing to work out of the company\u2019s Los Angeles headquarters. Proof also maintains operations in London and Australia.<\/p>\n
The expansion marks a return to New York for Frankel, who began working in previsualization in Manhattan in the late 1990s at Pixel Liberation Front, an early specialist in CG production planning.<\/p>\n
