Hermann \/ MTA<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Transit detectives are looking for the suspect who violently stabbed a man on board a 6 train in the <a href=\"https:\/\/amny.com\/manhattan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">East Village<\/a> early on Wednesday morning.\n<\/p>\n<p>Police sources said the bloody attack occurred on an uptown-bound 6 train near the Astor Place station at about 2:25 a.m. on Oct. 14.\n<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypd9pct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">9th Precinct<\/a> and NYPD Transit District 4 were alerted to the assault and found the wounded victim, a 40-year-old man, after the train arrived at Astor Place.<\/p>\n<p>Based on a preliminary investigation, authorities learned that the victim had become embroiled in a verbal dispute with the suspect. The reasons for the argument are not yet known.\n<\/p>\n<p>EMS rushed the victim, who sustained multiple stab wounds, to Bellevue Hospital for treatment; he is listed in stable condition.\n<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, meanwhile, had fled the station to parts unknown. Police said the perpetrator appeared to be a man with a dark complexion who wore a ski mask.\n<\/p>\n<p>So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.\n<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding the stabbing can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA).
