{"id":372952,"date":"2026-10-14T14:36:54","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T14:36:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/372952\/"},"modified":"2026-10-14T14:36:54","modified_gmt":"2026-10-14T14:36:54","slug":"nypd-releases-clearer-images-of-suspects-wanted-for-anti-gay-beatdown-on-manhattan-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/372952\/","title":{"rendered":"NYPD releases clearer images of suspects wanted for anti-gay beatdown on Manhattan street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NYPD released new clearer images Wednesday of two suspects wanted for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2026\/08\/07\/shouting-homophobic-slurs-attackers-beat-two-men-manhattan\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a homophobic assault<\/a> in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>The pair are being sought for an attack on two men, ages 31 and 37, on Broadway near W. 29th St. in NoMad about 7:30 p.m. July 31.<\/p>\n<p>The attackers uttered homophobic remarks before repeatedly punching and kicking the victims, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Medics took the older victim to <a href=\"https:\/\/nyulangone.org\/locations\/tisch-hospital\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NYU Langone Tisch Hospital<\/a> with minor injuries. The younger man was treated at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Both suspects had dark hair and wore dark T-shirts and light-colored sneakers. One sported black track pants with a white stripe down the sides and carried a black bag with two large colored dots on it, while the other man wore blue or gray pants.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 7 the NYPD first asked the public\u2019s help identifying and tracking down the suspects, releasing grainier footage of the duo.<\/p>\n<p>The assault is being investigated by the NYPD\u2019s Hate Crime Task Force.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is asked to call <a href=\"https:\/\/crimestoppers.nypdonline.org\/?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crime Stoppers<\/a> at (800) 577-TIPS.
