NYPD detectives are probing the mother\u2019s role in the death of an autistic man found in his family\u2019s Queens home Wednesday, with his neck and wrists slit after she leapt from the Van Wyck Expressway<\/a>, according to a police<\/a> source.<\/p>\n

Bryan Wong\u2019s father found his son\u2019s lifeless body on a pullout couch inside the living room of their single-family home\u00a0on 59th St. near Laurel Hill Blvd. in Woodside<\/a> around 9 a.m., the police source said.<\/p>\n

Wednesday was Wong\u2019s 25th birthday, cops were told.<\/p>\n

The victim, who is believed to be non-verbal, had cuts on both wrists and the left side of his neck, the source said.<\/p>\n

Investigators recovered a knife from the living room where Wong\u2019s body was found, in addition to two more knives in the apartment\u2019s bathroom.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw the police come, but they didn\u2019t take anybody out,\u201d said neighbor Dani Ramirez, 21. \u201cThe mother and son were always together. He was nonverbal and autistic. I never saw any fight or trouble or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Around 4 a.m. in Flushing, the victim\u2019s 62-year-old mother was found injured lying on Harper St. below the Van Wyck Expressway overpass, cops said.<\/p>\n

She was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital<\/a> suffering fractures to her pelvis and femur, and is listed in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n

A motorist later told police he spotted the woman standing near a grey Hyundai on the northbound side of the highway as he drove by, the source said.<\/p>\n

The autistic man\u2019s death has not officially been ruled a homicide, but a police source said investigators found a suicide note written by his mother, who is suspected in his death.<\/p>\n

The city\u2019s Medical Examiner<\/a> will determine how the man died.<\/p>\n

Multiple neighbors told the Daily News that Wong was severely disabled and that his mother served as his round-the-clock caretaker.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would see the mother with her son, very tired and very stressed out,\u201d said Patricia Guevara, who lives down the street. \u201cHe wasn\u2019t able to speak. He was only able to make grunting noises. She hardly took him out of the house. It\u2019s terribly sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

The victim and his family immigrated from Hong Kong, according to a home health aide his grandmother, who lives in a first-floor apartment below Wong.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would come, knock on the door to say good morning. His grandmother loved him,\u201d said the aide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe grandmother doesn\u2019t know,\u201d she added. \u201cI didn\u2019t tell her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The aide described Wong\u2019s mother as \u201ca good mother who took her son to the park.\u201d<\/p>\n
