\n\tRaquel Welch\u2019s former New York City<\/a> home is getting a second life. The late actress\u2019s apartment at 200 Central Park<\/a> South has been joined with the unit next door and renovated into a five-bedroom spread spanning roughly 5,500 square feet.<\/p>\n

\n\tWelch is believed to have owned apartment 32AB in the 1980s. Vision Development acquired that unit and the adjoining apartment, 32C, in 2022 and 2023, respectively, before combining them into one full-floor residence. The finished pad is now hitting the market for a hefty $25 million, the highest asking price ever for a unit in the building, according to the listing team.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe biggest draw is the view. With windows facing all four directions, the apartment looks out over more than 70 feet of Central Park frontage on one side and toward Times Square on the other, with the Manhattan<\/a> skyline in between. The layout also has some flexibility: sliding glass panels can separate part of the living area to create a fifth bedroom or office.<\/p>\n

\n\tInside, the renovated apartment has a kitchen with custom wood cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances, along with a primary bedroom suite with walk-in closets and a marble bathroom with heated floors. There are also three electric fireplaces and a custom infrared sauna.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor Brandon Bogard, cofounder of the Bogard New York Team at Serhant, seeing the apartment go from a renovation project to a finished home was part of the appeal. Bogard is co-listing the property with Mallory Bogard and Carol Raskin of Compass.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tThe kitchen has streamlined cabinetry, stone countertops, and a central island with seating.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWatching the transformation of 200 Central Park South from the studs to completion has been an extreme joy,\u201d he said. He also pointed to the views, which allow residents to watch the Times Square ball drop on New Year\u2019s Eve and see the seasons change in Central Park. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t get more iconic New York than this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWelch, who died in 2023 at age 82, rose to fame in the 1960s with roles in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C. Her appearance in the latter film\u2019s now-famous fur bikini made her a pop-culture fixture. She later won a Golden Globe for The Three Musketeers and remained a familiar face in Hollywood for decades.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe New York apartment isn\u2019t the only former Welch home to find a new owner in recent years. In April 2025, a Mediterranean-style villa in Los Angeles\u2019s Beverly Glen neighborhood sold for $3.1 million<\/a>. Welch had bought the house in 2009 for $2.5 million, and it initially came to market for around $4 million before its asking price was reduced to $3.7 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Central Park South apartment is in a full-service cooperative designed by Wechsler & Schimenti and completed in 1963. The building has a circular driveway, a 24-hour doorman, a fitness center, a rooftop terrace, valet service, bike storage, and an on-site parking garage.<\/p>\n
