The death of a non-verbal autistic man found with his neck and wrists slit<\/a> in his family\u2019s Queens home has been ruled a homicide as police investigate the role in the killing of the man\u2019s mother, who attempted suicide by leaping from the Van Wyck Expressway.<\/p>\n

Bryan Wong\u2019s father found his son dead with gashes on his neck and wrists<\/a> on a pullout couch inside the living room of their single-family home on 59th St. near Laurel Hill Blvd. in Woodside<\/a> around 9 a.m. on Wednesday \u2014 the young man\u2019s 25th birthday, a police source said. Investigators recovered a knife from the living room and two more in the bathroom.<\/p>\n

About five hours earlier, Wong\u2019s 62-year-old mother threw herself from the Van Wyck Expressway in an attempted suicide<\/a>, police said. She was found below the overpass on Harper St. with fractures to her pelvis and femur, according to cops. Medics rushed her to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital<\/a>, where she remains in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n

A police source said investigators found a suicide note written by the mother,<\/a> who is suspected as potentially playing a role in his death. There have been no arrests ion the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would see the mother with her son, very tired and stressed out,<\/a>\u201d said Patricia Guevara, who lives down the street from the family.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wasn\u2019t able to speak. He was only able to make grunting noises. She hardly took him out of the house. It\u2019s terribly sad.\u201d<\/p>\n
