John Krasinski and Emily Blunt appear to have downsized their Brooklyn Heights suite of apartments. A trust tied to the Hollywood power couple unloaded<\/a> a ninth-floor apartment in the Standish for $6.5 million in an off-market deal this past June, according to property records that were made public on Wednesday. As you might expect with the Beaux-Arts tower known for both its celebrity residents<\/a> and reputation for privacy, the apartment\u2019s buyer was masked by an LLC.<\/p>\n Krasinski and Blunt first bought in the converted 1903 limestone-and-brick hotel in 2018, paying<\/a> $11 million for a pair of units that covered the entirety of the eighth floor and added up to a potentially Goliath combination. (The couple\u2019s tween daughters<\/a>, Hazel and Violet, probably enjoyed running around the space instead of using the building\u2019s communal playroom.) The couple\u2019s presence helped cement the Standish as a magnet for the boldface crowd, following Matt Damon, who paid $16.7 million for a 6,000-square-foot penthouse in 2017 (and subsequently craned in his family\u2019s furniture). Earlier this year, Adam Driver paid<\/a> $11.5 million for three sixth-floor units totaling 3,500 square feet. (All, of course, come with access to an amenities package that includes a 24\/7 doorman, a fitness center, and a rooftop terrace with views of the harbor.)<\/p>\n Krasinski and Blunt\u2019s brief ownership of the ninth-floor apartment is a bit of a mystery. The same trust that the couple used to buy the eighth-floor units paid<\/a> $5 million for the apartment upstairs in January 2024. According to records<\/a>, 9B is nearly 1,600 square feet, and similar apartments in the building\u2019s B-line are three-bed, two-baths. Permits filed with the city indicate that they renovated after buying it. Although 9B is located right above the Krasinski-Blunts\u2019 full-floor spread and could have been part of an ambitious plan for expanding their Frankenmansion-in-the-sky, the timing of the purchase also came right around their 2024 Golden Globes appearance that sparked rumors the couple was cruising for a divorce. (The couple subsequently went<\/a> into damage control, with an \u201cinsider\u201d telling Us Weekly that they were totally fine and chuckling over the speculation.) Was this apartment an office, a generously sized place for a nanny, a guest apartment, part of a duplex plan that didn\u2019t shake out? We\u2019d ask Emily Blunt\u2013as\u2013Emily Charlton, but you already know what she\u2019d say: \u201cYou went upstairs? You went upstairs.
