Tompkins Bank & Trust is expanding its Western New York footprint with a new full-service branch in West Seneca<\/a>, its first location in the Southtowns.<\/p>\n

\"tompkins\"\"tompkins\"<\/a>The branch at 1201 Union Road is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, giving Tompkins<\/a> a banking<\/a> presence in both the Northtowns and Southtowns of Erie County<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tompkins has served Erie County since opening its Amherst branch in 2018. The West Seneca location will serve both business and consumer customers, with a focus on the region\u2019s growing business community.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been very proud to serve clients and businesses in Erie County for many years,\u201d Diane Torcello, president of Tompkins\u2019 Western New York market, said in a statement. \u201cThe West Seneca branch will provide a new, convenient location for customers in the Southtowns.\u201d<\/p>\n

The bank received the necessary regulatory approvals from New York state as of Aug. 27.<\/p>\n

Tony Ando, a longtime banking professional with more than 20 years of regional experience, will serve as business development officer for the new branch. Ando most recently worked at M&T and has experience working with West Seneca businesses and customers.<\/p>\n

He also is involved with the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and the West Seneca Central School Academy of Finance.<\/p>\n

Ando will focus on developing new relationships and strengthening existing partnerships across Tompkins\u2019 Western New York market, with an emphasis on the Southtowns.<\/p>\n

Additional details on the branch, its team, employment opportunities and opening events are expected to be announced in the coming months.<\/p>\n
