{"id":374917,"date":"2026-10-16T16:14:48","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T16:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/374917\/"},"modified":"2026-10-16T16:14:48","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T16:14:48","slug":"assetto-corsa-evos-initial-free-roam-area-will-be-bigger-than-manhattan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/374917\/","title":{"rendered":"Assetto Corsa EVO\u2019s initial free-roam area will be \u2018bigger than Manhattan\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AC EVO\u2019s initial free-roam map size will be 70km2, and will increase in future updatesInitial area will include Adenau and the N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife\u2019s perimeter roads<\/p>\n<p>The first stage of <a href=\"https:\/\/traxion.gg\/category\/games\/assetto-corsa-evo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Assetto Corsa EVO\u2019s<\/a> free-roam mode will drop on <a href=\"https:\/\/traxion.gg\/assetto-corsa-evos-free-roam-arrives-9th-december-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">9 December 2026, alongside update V0.10.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, at this weekend\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/traxion.gg\/sre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SimRacing Expo<\/a>, Kunos Simulazioni Co-Founder and Executive Manager Marco Massarutto revealed that the initial map size for this release would be 70 km2, or \u2018bigger than Manhattan,\u2019 as he described it in an interview with Traxion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first area will of course include the N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife, N\u00fcrburg, Adenau, M\u00fcllenbach and all the villages that are close to the N\u00fcrburgring,\u201d stated Massarutto in a live address to the Expo audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first area\u2026 will consist more or less the size of Manhattan,\u201d he explained, citing New York\u2019s most densely populated borough.<\/p>\n<p>This slice of the Eifel region will also include all the perimeter access roads of the Nordschleife, so motorsport fans can drive to all the best spectator, camping, and parking areas around the track they\u2019ve perhaps visited in real life, as demonstrated by YouTube driving star Misha Charoudin.<\/p>\n<p>Procedural generation<\/p>\n<p>The whole free-roam area will eventually expand to 1,600 km2 (with around 400 km of drivable roads), with off-road routes, AI traffic, changeable weather, and multiplayer (up to 30 players, according to Massarutto) set to launch.
