<\/p>\nCOLLEGE POINT, Queens (WABC) — Police are searching for two suspects accused of stealing a Yorkshire terrier from a front lawn in College Point, Queens.<\/p>\n
Authorities said 10-year-old Chanel, a Yorkshire terrier, was stolen from her owner’s front lawn last month.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Police have released two photos of the suspects and the vehicle they allegedly used to flee the scene.<\/p>\n
According to police, the theft was reported on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m. near 130th Street and 14th Avenue. Investigators said two unidentified individuals arrived in a 2014 Subaru Forester and approached a residential home.<\/p>\n

Police said the individuals exited the vehicle, and one of them removed the 10-year-old female Yorkshire terrier from the front lawn of a 47-year-old woman. The suspects then entered the vehicle with the dog and fled westbound on 14th Avenue to parts unknown.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported in the incident. Police said the dog is valued at approximately $1,200.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
