Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is funneling $1 million to left-wing <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/15\/us-news\/abdul-el-sayed-gets-testy-when-grilled-on-whether-he-lied-about-familys-ties-to-muslim-brotherhood\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed<\/a>, further establishing herself as a progressive power broker ahead of the 2026 midterms as part of the closely watched Michigan race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will be transferring from our campaign in New York one million dollars to the state of Michigan to help support you all,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told supporters at an event while stumping for El-Sayed in Michigan\u2019s Upper Peninsula on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I\u2019m not talking about it \u2014 I\u2019m being about it,\u201d she said. The $1 million donation will be made to Abdul for Michigan Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and Michigan Democratic State Central Committee.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Rep. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>AOC was the top fundraiser in the House last year, with $23.5 million raised from deep-pocketed donors both in and outside of New York.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, she\u2019s got more than $17 million cash on hand in her principal campaign committee.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSquad\u201d congresswoman, who is rumored to be eyeing a 2028 Senate challenge against Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) or a White House run, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/02\/us-news\/aoc-throws-her-weight-behind-progressive-abdul-el-sayed-in-michigan-senate-race\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">endorsed El-Sayed<\/a> in July before he defeated Rep.
