{"id":375905,"date":"2026-10-17T23:18:55","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T23:18:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/375905\/"},"modified":"2026-10-17T23:18:55","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T23:18:55","slug":"man-shot-and-killed-inside-new-york-city-subway-station-in-midtown-manhattan-nypd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/375905\/","title":{"rendered":"Man shot and killed inside New York City subway station in Midtown Manhattan: NYPD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man was shot and killed in the\u00a0New York City subway on Saturday afternoon, police confirmed to Fox News Digital, <a href=\"https:\/\/apa.az\" class=\"hyperlink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">APA<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting happened at the 53rd Street and 7th Avenue station in busy Midtown Manhattan just after noon, according to the\u00a0NYPD.<\/p>\n<p>Hassen Pinchback from Orlando, Florida, told Fox News Digital he witnessed\u00a0the incident\u00a0and that everyone started running after hearing gunshots.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was like a stampede,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When the train doors opened, that\u2019s when you heard pop pop pop,&#8221; Pinchback said, adding that a female bystander was doing chest compressions on the victim before police arrived, telling him to \u2018Hang in there.\u2019&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another witness from Washington state who gave the last name of &#8220;Miller,&#8221; said she and her daughter heard about five shots while sitting inside the subway car with the doors open and her daughter went outside, and the shooter looked right at her before he continued shooting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just started praying.
