{"id":376282,"date":"2026-10-18T14:25:01","date_gmt":"2026-10-18T14:25:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/376282\/"},"modified":"2026-10-18T14:25:01","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T14:25:01","slug":"senior-in-bronx-shoots-70-year-old-girlfriend-and-60-year-old-man-in-bloody-end-to-apparent-love-triangle-sources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/376282\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior in Bronx shoots 70-year-old girlfriend and 60-year-old man in bloody end to apparent love triangle: sources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<img width=\"1200\" height=\"845\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792333501_616_unnamed-18.jpg\" class=\"crop-center wp-post-image\" alt=\"crime scene tape after incident in Bronx\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"   title=\"Senior in Bronx shoots 70-year-old girlfriend and 60-year-old man in bloody end to apparent love triangle: sources 1\"\/>\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Crime Scene tape.<\/p>\n<p>Photo by Dean Moses<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Police in the <a href=\"https:\/\/amny.com\/bronx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bronx<\/a> are questioning a senior man on Sunday morning, hours after he allegedly shot his girlfriend when he caught her with another man inside an apartment in an apparent love triangle, police sources said.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement sources reported that the domestic dispute unfolded just before 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at 3970 3rd Ave. in Claremont.\n<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypd42pct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">42nd Precinct<\/a> rushed to the location after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting that a person had opened fire.\u00a0When they arrived, they discovered several spent shell casings in the building\u2019s hallway, and learned a 68-year-old man had barricaded himself inside an apartment. <\/p>\n<p>The NYPD\u2019s Emergency Service Unit responded, and authorities eventually gained entry to the apartment to discover that a 70-year-old woman had been shot in the abdomen and a 60-year-old man had been shot multiple times in the torso.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both victims were rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition and are expected to survive.\n<\/p>\n<p>Sources familiar with the investigation report that the shooter is believed to have been the boyfriend of the 70-year-old victim. The 60-year-old man may also have been having a relationship with the female, sources said.<\/p>\n<p>The gunman was taken into custody without incident and was also taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital for evaluation.\u00a0Charges against the gunman are pending.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Crime Scene tape.
