\n\tRETAIL EVP: Vornado Realty Trust, the largest owner and manager of street retail in Manhattan<\/a>, has hired Elisa Young to serve as executive vice president, head of retail leasing.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYoung will drive leasing activity throughout Vornado\u2019s 2.3 million square feet of street-level retail across 40 Manhattan<\/a> properties,\u201d the company said in a statement provided to WWD.<\/p>\n

\n\tYoung takes over the role previously held by Ed Hogan, who earlier this year joined JVP Development.<\/p>\n

\n\tVornado\u2019s Manhattan\u2019s retail assets are located on Fifth Avenue, Madison Avenue, Times Square, Penn District, Union Square and SoHo. Vornado is currently advancing several projects, including the ongoing transformation of the Penn District, where it is the predominant real estate<\/a> owner, developer and operator.<\/p>\n

\n\tYoung most recently served as senior vice president of retail leasing at Brookfield Properties, where she oversaw about 1.2 million square feet of New York retail assets.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe is credited with playing an instrumental role in shaping the retail merchandising and leasing for Brookfield Place, which is in lower Manhattan, and Manhattan West, which is east of Hudson Yards. According to Vornado, she struck numerous retail deals with brands including Gucci, Dior, Bottega Veneta, Zegna, Nike, Sephora, Lululemon, Warby Parker, Arc\u2019teryx, Eataly and Tag Heuer, among others.<\/p>\n
